Yes. Before any mason can apply for a permit for your memorial you will have to make sure the plot is in your name. You can do this via the local council.

Do I have to use the monumental mason my local council or funeral director recommends?

No. You can use any BRAMM licensed stone masons

How long do I have to wait to put a memorial on a grave after burial?

In most places you will have to wait 6 to 8 months to give the ground time to settle.

Do I have to pay a fee to put a memorial on a grave?

Yes. you or your stone mason will need to apply for a permit from the local council.

How long does it take?

From ordering it will take 3-4 months depending on size of stone required.
